Ardulafae makes her way to the bill board and openly posts a note. After a short speech over the contents she move on to spread more fliers in the city.
"Fellow citizens of Sshamath, illustrous Conclave.
Yet again we the people find ourselves threatened by the yoke of the Spider,
Yet again the inactions of the Charnag Maelthra and in extent the Conclave speak volumes.
For years we have struggled to make our beloved city of Dark Weaving into a shining beacon of Art and trade, we have done well and despite the treachery within and the calamities of wars thrust upon us by others we steadily march on under the Conclave's wise guidance into a bright future.
However, ever since the actions of the Spider's Avatar in Varalla's passage we have witnessed the House of Sshamath growing bolder spreading their filth and lies in the streets of our fair city. Meanwhile there is a silence within, a silence emanating from the very conclave itself. The Spider has doubled its Seat in our beloved Conclave.
Has our ruling council decided to form alliance with the Spider, are the words of our sacred forefathers mere words in the wind?
Will we once again fall under the oppression of the Spider's minions?
Right now a proud defender of Sshamath in the Alhoon war and a trade dealer is about to stand trial due to the slander and deceit of the Spider's minions. This very cycle three citizens of our fair city was brutally publically murdered in the name of Lolth. Last year a congregation was assaulted and slaughtered while in peaceful worship.
If you are a person of faith, consider whose followers will be next after these misdeeds against those of the Lady of Dance. Is this what future the Conclave wants for us?
Is this fate what the common soldier bled for at Undrek Valanar, at the very gates of the city, at the slopes of far Darkhold?
The future actions of the Conclave will define what role they see for us the common citizens of Sshamath. Once again oppression under the Spider or free proud citizens of a secular state?
I for one still believe in the Conclave's wisdom.
By the grace of the Dancer
Signed
Ardulafae Oreb'le'i

An open note to the Conclave
"Drojal zhah obdoluth dorb'd streeak, Lueth dro zhah zhaunau dorb'd ogglin."
"Existence is empty without chaos, Life is boring without enemies." So sayeth Lady Lolth, Queen of Chaos.
PC: Natalya, wandering enchantress.

Re: An open note to the Conclave
Xercia reads the note and frowns. Anyone nearby can hear her say in a calm, content, yet audible voice:
- Spoken like a true darthiiri...
Then she walks off losing the frown as if nothing had happened.

Cake is a lie, there are only donuts
Through donuts, I gain happiness
Through happiness, I gain calories
Through calories, i gain fat
Through fat, my chains are broken
The donuts shall free me

Re: An open note to the Conclave
[Note: This post assumes that like the In Game spell Detect Magic says, Sshamath is warded against all forms of extradimensional travel as per the Dimensional Lock spell description. If that isn't true, then this post didn't happen.]
Upon reading said note, Teb'nol would speak with his fellow mages, particularly those of the Abjuration School, debating with them. He speaks to them in typical Drow fashion, pointing out all the possibilities and letting the natural paranoia and fear of the Drow people take it's course. He would ask those first few he speaks to spread the idea, but to leave his name out of it for "fear of reprisal from the Temple".
"Why was a Gate spell even capable of being utilized in the Lolthite Temple? The entire city is supposed to be Warded against extradimensional travel, which last I recall did indeed include a Gate spell. If the Temple had the authority to disable said spells due to their seat on the Conclave, then wouldn't opening such a large area as the Temple to extradimensional travel be a grave misuse of that authority?
"Isn't the Temple leaving our defenses wide open? Wasn't one of the key reasons Sshamath survived the Alhoon lich specifically because they could not simply teleport their forces into the city itself?! If we had an enemy like that appear now we should surely be crushed.
"Or is perhaps this is a plot by the Temple itself? If they could slowly teleport in enough Yathrin from other cities they could potentially challenge the Mage schools for control of the city!
Whatever problem arose with that Gate for the Temple is obviously their own fault! Either through deception or ineptitude they have left our defenses open, are they really who we want to have a seat on the Conclave?
The Temple must be secured against extradimensional travel once more before we are invaded, and the Temple needs to be reprimanded for their endangering the entire city!"
While Teb'nol would indeed start up this talk amongst the mages, he would lead the spread of such thoughts to them, keeping out of the spotlight and preventing the knowledge that he was the one who started such rumors from reaching outside the first few mages he spoke with.

Re: An open note to the Conclave
With her mood getting more annoyed about the new flood of flyers inside the city, Valaklith feels like to read the 10th one she comes across. After reading, she screws the paper up and throws it inside the next trash barrel.
"More fools. More heretics. More children with foolish ideas. Without Lolth, this city would have passed long ago. They wouldn't have survived the Alhoon, or that druid plague of Talona. Or something else would have come up, if the faithful didn't stop it before anyone of those fools would have noticed it as a thread. They are stupid. And if they aren't strong enough, they will vanish, like those always do."
She then walks ahead with a slight grin on her face.

Re: An open note to the Conclave
Izzrar reads a second posted note in as many cycles. Silently pocketing a copy and moving up the Z'orr'bauth.
I never make mistakes…I thought I did once; but I was wrong.
