Playing the game on an external Hard Drive?
Anyone know if you can play the game that has been loaded on an external SSHD and would I be able to login to the server and play?

Thank you electric mayhem. Will USB do the job or would a different connection be better and can I move it between different computers that have all the files need to start the game?

Re: Playing the game on an external Hard Drive?
I've ran it on a WD 1tb etx USB powered hdd (1 cable).
I've copied the primary files from one downloaded location, to the HDD destination fine. Primary game files that is.
There are a significant amount of game resources that are loaded onto your User space on C:/ normally. i.e. all the Module files from BGTSCC and any other online communities.
The trick to getting the game to read these user document module files from another location is to use the command prompt functions for mkdir links.
I followed the instructions on this webpage with success:
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/nwn2pla ... t4427.html
This is also handy for those that want to free up their boot drives on PC and redirect NWN2 files elsewhere on the computer.
All future game updates will then go to this redirected drive location.
