A redheaded lady wanders through the streets of Baldurs Gate with a small stack of posters in her hand. She finds her way to the entrance of the White Mask and tacks one of them up right next to the front door, for anyone passing by to see.

Artful Auditorium, where outer lines preside elegant statues of Gods and Goddesses dedicated to the  creative
are suffused by light and shadow, softly aglow,  thereby found is decorated reseau.  Sequestered away on ledge
nearest falling  water by Joybringer's side, of recent confide is small offering to  venerate  one  unnamed. With
no tell-tale plaque eloquently attributed as per sculptures tall, whom or what small tribute venerates may well
remain  a mystery.  Hickory,  feathers and leaves,  twined and piled by candlelight form a bed  of  the  natural,
arboreal,  whereon lies laurel nesting a syrinx. Panpipes,  carved, would be the pinnacle were it not for berries
fresh  laid on canopy's mesh and the goblet filled with lavish wine, sanguine. It has become a recurrent display.

Practice, practice, practice
Script, original, by Belthazor written
Reactive actors, raptus actress
One line added, another stricken
Hard at work, rehearsal imperfect
Scene change: the plot thickens...

Over several months the White Mask Theater, creative hub for the artistically like-minded, has seen increased activity;
though rarely mentioned  in casual conversation and slow steeped in rumor for what has become standard observation.
New faces, however,  are seen  to grace  the stage, earning  a  place  within theater  ranks and a joyous  welcome  for
talented members ranging from maidens to the muscled, and heroes, self-proclaimed.

As the month of Eleint drew to it's end,  the White Mask Theater  did ensure one of its  oldest traditions was kept alive
in  the  midst  of fiendish warfare,  or,  perhaps,  in spite of it.  Double  doors  thrown wide in  welcome did  draw  the
inspired public to craft and create that which resonated in echo of  "change"  and, just so, thematically titled. Hostess
for the eve's Open Stage Night was the gossamer-clad assistant director, Oona Siofra.

Though the evening proved to be a a grand success,  it was not without  its own unusual turn of events. Several patrons
did claim  to see a ghostly figure  displaced from  the auditorium's  shadows at poignant intervals,  leaving witnesses to
question and speculate over the possibility of the theater being haunted.

Behold;  a  mask  hath  tricked  thy  sight!
Fooling    thee   with  exquisite   grimace:
On  the  reverse,   proper  vision:  a  face.
Fiercely   affected,   true   self   revealed
before thine eyes whence prior concealed

Wax-lacquered parchment,  charcoal infused, soon makes an appearance throughout the city of Baldur's  Gate;
first seen amidst the Palace District's upper-class and spanning further thereafter across the Sword Coast. Bold
letters  bear  news of what's to come,  proudly  declaring:  MASQUERADE.  Dated late in Marpenoth,  aught  of
cloth, sateen or velvet is required to be desaturated and paired with masks artfully inspired.
