A Stout of younger years, dressed in armor adorned with many runemarks of both Dethek and perhaps purely aesthetic forms, arrived from deeper within the Kingdom, to offer a welcoming clasp-of-forearms to the recent arrival.

"I am Hurgon of clan Wyrmstone, voice of the Deep Mountain and one of many in the Assembly, within the great Fortress of the Holy Anvil, under King Battlehammer. Welcome, yes of Stout blood. Come...come deeper within! Let us toast your arrival with ales and a telling of travels...so that one such as yerself shall tell of ye skills, and they be put most greatly to use, along with yer oath-kin."

Hurgon does lead Bolrak within...where they most likely end up in the King's Hall to present to the Assembly...or more likely, the inner-tavern!!

A great clamor is heard reverberating through the eastern ridges of the Troll Claw Hills.

Wayward travelers or those on their way to trade with the merchants of the Kingdom of Kraak Helzak may not only hear this great ringing from works, but see for themselves a view upon a iron golem, covered in Dethek runescript, hammering away at the stone mountain sides, excavating large granite stone boulders, and both carrying and rolling them towards the inner, surface compound of the Fortress of the Dwarves, where stonecutters and masons await a production...

...many would assume the Kingdom has begun work towards a grander, fortified bridge, to replace what was sacrificed in the recent Troll attack.

Even late into the evenings of the setting summer months, more stones are amassed toward the ravine that separates the Kraak Helzak fortress from the rest of the Troll Claw Hills.

Engineering minded folk that are traveling to and from Kingdom for trade, may wonder at the quantity of stones being staged for what appears construction...noting that more than what would be required for
just a bridge, is being hoarded.

Runners can be seen coming and going from the small quarters of rune scholars and city planners. Bundles of parchment tucked under arms along with mica plate etched slabs. They seem fastidious in their courier work to various projects underway in the Kingdom.

Relnor can be seen moving about workers tending to minor wounds and helping with some construction work.
Clearly this is a project approved by Clangeddin himself!

Within the Troll Claw Hills, intrepid travelers may observe from a far—if not engaging directly—that small parties of Dwarves traveling the northernmost ridges of the Claw Hills. The Dwarven groups fly the banner of Kraak Helzak, and at times, either plant flags to mark their presence, carve runestone into stone face as road marker, or even adjust stones to provide small shelters that blend into the surroundings, which would provide excellent scouting and defense positions.

Also noticed are the pyres left in the wake of these Dwarven roaming parties, smoldering heaps with remnants of many a troll hide left to singe and smoke.

As work continues on the rebuilding and defense improvement of the surface entrance to the Fortress of the Holy Anvil, traders and Stout Folk visiting the Dwarven Kingdom may happen upon a young Thunder Blessed stonesinger, adding his prowess with the drums to the competence of the skill of the dwarven craftsmen and women.

Tis rumored that the rhythm of the drum, like the rhythm of a working forge, hammer on anvil, imbues the reconstruction effort with mystic, magical powers. Or so would the dwarves themselves say, culturally believing that being forged themselves from stone and iron by All-father Moradin, their own will and ways is one with the stone that they work with their hands and hearts.

Adolamin would be seen in and about the Kingdom spending time inspecting key infrastructure.
He'd regularly sit down for a good hour or more at various places, sketching and taking notes on design features.

A stout looking figure dressed in red armor walks the long road towards Kraak Helzak Kingdom. Battle-axe in hand dripping red and black blood from the bodies of the Hill trolls and mountain bear lays dead to rest as the sky birds start to circle then feed behind him.

His name is Torrun Longbeard of the Longbeard clan.*Taking the last cloth from his backpack he starts to clean his weapon in a grumbling manner* He has traveled far from Water Deep to Sword Coast to have words with the dwarven council for citizenship. *He stops at the gate nods to the guards and informs them of his name. One of the guards look him over as the other ask him to wait by the wagon

//OOC Hello all name is Arcanum my character Torrun Longbeard wish to join the Kraak Kingdom.
A short-bearded Stout, of young age, of the Thunder Blessed, arrives out the surface gate of Kraak Helzak, to approach the arrival.

The dwarf that arrives is adorned in light-yet-durable mithral armor, a deadly looking dwarven waraxe upon his belt, but more interesting is the hand-drum he equips, as he walks toward the newcomer. He is both drumming and chanting lowly, a deep rhythm that the sharp-of-ear would realize parallels the beat that comes from the internal forges of this Fortress of the Holy Anvil.

Stepping to the Stout seeking citizenship, the stonesinger speaks: "Let us celebrate you, your homecoming, as it would be, another wandering Stout that shall seek kin and build Clan, that may raise their arm in defense of all Children of the Mordinsamman, and bring their story into the expansion of this great Kingdom."

The stonesinger leads a way for Torrun Longbeard to enter the Kingdom, introducing himself as Simsae of clan Orcslayer, stonesinger in the halls of Kraak Helzak, and Telormar Gultor, protector of all Stouts as they make their path in this new era of the blossoming of the Thunder Blessed. Simsae attempts to answer all of Torrun's questions, should he have them, and while doing so, consciously leads Torrun on a trail through the Kingdom, directly to the Great Hall of Ale....

Subject: The Troll Hills and Trollbark Forest [DM Posts]
DM Golem wrote: Thu Jan 24, 2019 1:58 pm The Troll Hills themselves, to the north, are said to have a literal pall over them, like the thick black smoke of a furnace. At night the glow of forgefires can be seen by the keen eyed.
Those traveling in the north-east, specifically the TROLL CLAWS, would either observe or hear of the Kingdom of Kraak Helzak having been working for weeks now in repairing and improving upon their single-surface-entrance bridge to their Kingdom...and now, it seems that efforts are doubled, to make this bridge ever-the-more defensive against attacks.

It is spoken that Kraak Helzak scout groups are often seen upon the tallest peaks of the Troll Claws, observing west, with keen and pensive eye.

*A pair of dwarfs, one leading the other enter the hold. The one leading, known to those in Kraak Helzak produces a key ushers the other dwarf through the gate. He can be seen showing the newcomer around and bringing him inside the keep proper. They linger at the anvil and an offer is extended. Ursavar promises to speak to the steward regarding oaths and kinship. The newcomer, Ziefried Thunderstone by name, seems eager.*

Two one-eyed persons, a tiefling and a human, visited Kraak Helzak fortress this morning...

They spent hours asking all the available merchants and resisdents about certain wares. At last, the tiefling approached the merchant selling the most expensive wares.

"Here's tha list of what I need, bud. Price ain't a problem."

Rumors say that the tiefling who called himself Jalib was looking for a single Glowstone and several bars of Grimsteel. He claimed that he will stay at Kraak Helzak for a while until he finds someone selling the items he requires.
