While all the repairs and the hubbub is ongoing, Niyressa could be seen regularly heading in and out with Edelgarde and a mix of people from Bladestone and Candlekeep. The group can be seen carrying out small boxes using the same simple crane that has been delivering materials inside the underground space. The boxes are then being transported inside Candlekeep where the same group of people can be seen unpacking books, working on their restoration, taking notes and sorting them again for storage. Niyressa would, after pevious discussion, accompany Edelgarde in most tasks, helping out where she can and watching over the activities on behalf of Bladestone.
Almarea90 wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 1:47 pm Once the books are brought in Candlekeep, Edelgarde would with the assistance of Niyressa check the title of each book, assess their condition and the presence of any lingering enchantment, finally compiling an inventory. The mundane books are then moved to the library and entrusted to the care of the scribes tasked to restore them and repair any damage at the best of their possibilities. The tomes that are enchanted (if any) would be examined with Analyze Dweomer and adequate protection (Mind Blank, Protection from Evil, Deathward), before being moved to the Vault.

After the work of the scribes is done, Edelgarde would gather the topic of each tome in a list, which will then be provided to the Bladestone Foundation. Should they require copies of any specific books, or translations, Edelgarde would instruct a scribe to provide this. Any book written in cipher would be set aside as Edelgarde would make an attempt to decipher it.

The brunette ranger could be seen at Mielikki's shrine along the tradeway. She's seen tending the shrine, kneeling to pray, and then standing on tiptoes to tuck a note into a hidden spot on the statue. Her actions and attitudes are nothing new. She's been seen doing this often. She leaves the shrine with eyes that are perhaps even more alert than usual.

*All up and down the southern tradeway, from Friendly Arm to Beregost posters are being hanged on everything that allows, crossroad posts, walls, trees, if any are taken down, it doesn’t take long for them to be replaced each day*
Hear ye, hear ye.
You might have heard about a great evil in Cloakwood, evil only vanquished by a sacred fey bow. Some of you might have been told by druid Emmanuel that it is Lylan’Synor, that is making this task impossible, but let me tell you what is really happening.
Some time ago, a fey has appeared and tasked Lylan’Synor with guarding the sacred branch and set others with tasks, culminating in crafting a sacred bow and defeating this spider monstrosity, everyone was getting along and cooperated to reach this goal, plans were made, and all seemed well on its way to success. That is, until the Great Flop Emmanuel stumbled into the situation and decided to hold key parts hostage, until he gets his way.
He wanted no one, but the people he controls involved, we tried to reason with him, we tried to find ways to cooperate, we tried to set up meetings and neutral locations to work together and to try to find a common path. At every point he said no, at every point he wanted to swing his trunk around, showing how great he is.
When it became clear that there will be no common path found, we wanted to set up one last meet, to try and reach some compromise, to resolve the situation as adults. Despite his smear campaign, despite people on the daily accosting and blaming us for letting evil unopposed and for blocking Emmanuel from his great fate as the savior, we still wanted to meet and kept waiting for when he will be available, to find common ground, that is, until he decided that he feels slighted because a friend asked me how I am doing and I dared to talk about it. And so, he said he will not meet with us anymore.
Se let it be known to all, that the green haired druid is nothing but a childish prick, power hungry miscreant and that he can go pollinate himself, let him wallow in his self-importance. And now, Emmanuel, you can feel insulted, you good for nothing lowlife.

A brunette ranger could be seen traveling to a beach south of Candlekeep. She gracefully kept her footing during any quakes and calmed frightened animals along the way. A squirrel might have been spotted hitching a ride on her shoulder. When she arrived at the lighthouse, she stood and looked over the beach a moment before checking to make sure the ongoing construction wasn't harming the local wildlife. The ranger then lingered for a bit, looking out over the water, before she moved along further south.

While Darkhold and Zhentarim troops and outriders move along the boarders of Amn, Bladestone Foundation patrols continue to assist fleeing mages as they have for few months now.

Clearly no where near the size, strength, and resources of Darkhold's military efforts, even post-war, nor able to enter Amn proper, the Foundation troops assist mages as able to get to the local townships in the No Man's Land of the Coastal Planes and the Foundation compound itself to seek shelter from mage hunters and other persecutions.

If encountered, the Bladestone troops do not interfere with the Zhentarim patrols unless they are enacting active banditry on the local populace. They supply the other soldiers with professional courtesy and clearly expect the same if discussions take place.

As the Time of Troubles comes to a close, patrols from the Bladestone in the No Man's Land of the Coastal planes continue unabated as they have during the time of troubles, supplemented by patrols of the Knights of the Silver Rose ((per RP with some of their members midway through the ToT.))

The routes are interrupted for a few days as they specifically alter to stop into the various towns proper to check up on situations regarding food, security, well being, illness, etc now that the Time of Troubles is over. They then take these reports back to the leadership of the Bladestone.

Construction of the Pier and Trade Post at the Lighthouse on the Coast has slowed a little due to weather ((I need to get in the formal requests, the outpost has been approved, thank you DM team for all your help with the RP setups and missions)) but it is rumored the renovations in the lower sections are complete, as are the repairs. Guards still use the Lighthouse as a waystop and boarding, under the command of the Now-Returned Aramon Summerheart.

From the druid's grove along the tradeway comes the sounds of music. Soon, there is the neighing of an equine creature, accompanied by the light laughter of other voices.

Image

The merriment lasts until another person shows up, and suddenly the grove is empty, save for the green and red haired druid who continues to play soothing melodies, accompanied by a young bronze dragon.

For the last several 10-days, the Bladestone Headmaster Derik Ranloss has been scarce and difficult to locate. For those who inquire at the Foundation and Warrior's Rest, initially it's not clear why. However, after a bit it is learnable that Derik has taken several of the longer patrol routes into the No-Man's Land of the coastal planes where the various villages and farms and such that often come to trade are.

The Rest's bartender freely shares that the Headmaster is making a point of visiting all the particular settlement, especially those that have taken in refugee mages to make sure everything is situating well still and make sure there is nothing amiss or needed.

It's unclear to the Staff, but they think he may have traveled north via magic as well to check on the Coast Way roads that he helped clear up a little on behalf of the City and check on the status of the patrolling groups there as well.

On the coast south of Candlekeep, two figures can be seen cleaning up an area damaged by fire, molten rock, and explosions, and working as long as it takes to restore the land to the best of their abilities.
One is the fire druid Teris, working to set things right and nearly breaking under a guilty conscience.
The other is Ashling of the Green Enclave, kindly volunteering her assistance in repairing the damage and reminding Teris that he doesn't need to continue apologizing for whatever happened here.

7th Alturiak, Roaringshore - Rumours of work to be had at Roaringshore surfaced. Perhaps pay was raised in the aftermath of recent troubles there but for whatever reason word that gems were sought for top prices, and rare original books of the Ramsi series and the Younger series were mentioned. Information it seems was at a premium too with mouth-watering fees offered for information about the location of Gifts of the Gods relics, and the lair known as Yondalla's coastal hideout. Even the docks were busy and one trader there was offering top prices for green sunfish, small octopus, sturgeon, Marlin, fleshwort and stoneroot with a bonus for a complete collection. All of them appear to be people that, for one reason or another, had nowhere else to go. (DM Soulcatcher)

13th Alturiak, Friendly Arm Inn - Two fallen travellers were laid to rest by the staff of the Friendly Arms. Attention to the pair had been drawn by passing woodlanders, wizards and other assorted adventuring groups. These events inspired some exploration of the forest by variously motivated groups. Changes to the forest were noted and dangerous paths explored. Nothing was learned of the fallen duo and their fate lies in the hands of another. (DM Spartracus)

18th Alturiak, Baldur's Gate – Another Open Stage Night n the White Mask Theatre, with songs of love and beauty, and a proposal for marriage. In the contest, the Bardesses Rose Wintertale and Lylan'Synor shared the first place. Second was the well known wizard Sirion! (Player led)

19th Alturiak, Friendly Arm Inn - Strange things started to happen around Friendly Arm Inn. Storm clouds filled the sky and time started to slow. Word got around quickly about an arctic troll making an appearance outside the Friendly Arm Inn. He claimed to be a messenger on behalf of Agnosh, master of storms. People are to prepare for hardship. A woman in white tried to pry the troll for more information about this Agnosh, but the troll remained steadfast in the delivery of his message. Suddenly the troll charged the woman in white and started to attack. The woman, and other adventurers surrounding her immediately sprung into action, casting spells and throwing fire and acid at the creature. Within seconds, the troll turned into slush. The immediate threat was gone, but the threat of oncoming hardships lingered in the air, possibly a warning of what was to come. (DM Cleric)

19th and 20th Althuriak - Several sightings of the so called Lady of Roses were reported, in questionable actions. She often appears with a Lantern or was seen taking the form of other beings, also luring people out of safe places and into the Cloak wood. Many individuals and organizations are involved. Also worries, that the peace between nature folks and City population may be endangered.
(DM Ink, Part I) (Part II) (Part III)

20th Alturiak, Warrior's Rest – A brawl Room Blitz event was held by the Bladestone Foundation. The first place went to Callo. The second was taken by Adrian Baker. Third was the towering half-orc Grobb. (Player led)

Deep within a hidden location, dark figures met,

As the fey situation gets worse in the Cloakwood and surrounding area, the Bladestone Foundation thins their patrols in the Costal Plains a bit and increases their patrols along the Way of the Lion and the Tradeway. The specific goal is to make sure that anyone fleeing the carnage is escorted to safety or medical attention as needed as well as to be able to report on movements outside the forests if necessary.

To make up for the lack of normal presence in the no-man's land of the Costal Plains and the villages therin, Headmaster Ranloss instructs his senior staff to enter into rotations of patrols through both areas as able.

In concordance with his own instructions to his staff, guards, and officers, Derik Ranloss is seen taking extra rotations on the patrols of the Bladestone guards.

This time on the Lion's Way up to the entrance of the Cloakwood from that direction. However, other than several gaggles of bugs and a couple gnolls looking for a light snack, he didn't encounter anything noteworthy.

((I had screenies to go with this... but they got mucked up, so ... sorry :( ))

As the issue in the Cloakwood with the fey and rampaging animals and plants comes to a conclusion, Bladestone patrols on the Lion's Way and the Costal Plains normalize.

There is also a bustle of activity near the lighthouse now that spring is arrived and the weather has turned. Finalizations of construction of the trade dock/harbor on the beach by the Lighthouse renews.

Hope's Landing is Now Open!
The Bladestone Foundation would like to announce the opening of Hope's Landing, a small dock and harbor by the lighthouse south of Candlekeep.

This has been a project and labor of love by the Foundation since prior to the Time of Troubles and we are proud to announce it is now fully functional.

The Lighthouse has been restored to full functionality and will be operated by the Foundation for the foreseeable future to keep passing and approaching ships safe. The trade station itself consists of a ware house and single pier for docking of smaller trade boats and barges that are able to navigate the shallow natural harbor. Also, it will provide a more stable location to flag down passing ferries for personal transport.

It is our hope, thus the name, that this facility will help with direct trade of the peoples, farms, and villages of the Coastal Plains and No-Man's Land with markets previously unable to connect directly to them.

Services Provided:
Guarded Warehouse for short-term storage of goods to be picked up by boat or goods having just been dropped off
Lighthouse
Patrol Guard post
Guarded trade transactions
FISHING! (At the end of the pier)

The Foundation would like to acknowledge:
Michael Dunn, Sirion Tedwa, "Miz" for assistance in securing the location.
Tiaywn Aleaneldeth for assistance in brokering purchase of materials and labor.
Sane Fenson and Teris for environmental consultations.
Lylan'Synor for supervision of lighthouse repairs and overall construction.
Niy'ressa Dawncrow for review of accounts and negotiations with local residents.
Adrian Baker for design and concept.
Vrok Drek for security supervision.
Grand Duke Belt for Court support.

Come now all and partake!
