The insomniac that recently arrived at the Friendly Arm could be seen at the bar tonight, having a mutually confusing conversation with a greyish-skinned woman. As both participants dragged each other randomly from topic to topic, it's hard to tell what was going on through their heads, but at a guess, some of the topics discussed may have been:
  • Friends in blue blowing up
  • Virin needing to repair a broken wand
  • Her search for her friends
  • And her belief that someone called "Shill" can help with one or more of the above
She later stumbled out into the Sharpteeth dressed only in plain clothes, briefly joining forces with an armored dwarf before wandering back to the Arm.

A woman in purple dress and matching hat can be seen hanging flyers around the Friendly Arms Inn. She would greet each she saw with a warm and welcoming smile, humming while she walks with a bounce in her step.

*All up and down the southern tradeway, from Friendly Arm to Beregost posters are being hanged on everything that allows, crossroad posts, walls, trees, if any are taken down, it doesn’t take long for them to be replaced each day*
Hear ye, hear ye.
You might have heard about a great evil in Cloakwood, evil only vanquished by a sacred fey bow. Some of you might have been told by druid Emmanuel that it is Lylan’Synor, that is making this task impossible, but let me tell you what is really happening.
Some time ago, a fey has appeared and tasked Lylan’Synor with guarding the sacred branch and set others with tasks, culminating in crafting a sacred bow and defeating this spider monstrosity, everyone was getting along and cooperated to reach this goal, plans were made, and all seemed well on its way to success. That is, until the Great Flop Emmanuel stumbled into the situation and decided to hold key parts hostage, until he gets his way.
He wanted no one, but the people he controls involved, we tried to reason with him, we tried to find ways to cooperate, we tried to set up meetings and neutral locations to work together and to try to find a common path. At every point he said no, at every point he wanted to swing his trunk around, showing how great he is.
When it became clear that there will be no common path found, we wanted to set up one last meet, to try and reach some compromise, to resolve the situation as adults. Despite his smear campaign, despite people on the daily accosting and blaming us for letting evil unopposed and for blocking Emmanuel from his great fate as the savior, we still wanted to meet and kept waiting for when he will be available, to find common ground, that is, until he decided that he feels slighted because a friend asked me how I am doing and I dared to talk about it. And so, he said he will not meet with us anymore.
Se let it be known to all, that the green haired druid is nothing but a childish prick, power hungry miscreant and that he can go pollinate himself, let him wallow in his self-importance. And now, Emmanuel, you can feel insulted, you good for nothing lowlife.

A green haired druid, accompanied by a brunette ranger happen upon one of the posters. After reading it, the ranger begins to reach to the poster, but is stopped by the druid.

"But these are lies." The ranger says.

"I know that. And you know that. You know who else knows that? . . . Everyone else. And if they don't, I have faith they will seek me out to get the truth."

The ranger nods, clearly unhappy with leaving the flyer as is. But the two leave it alone and go on their way, much bigger things on their minds.

((OOC thanks to Ashling's player, for giving her input on how Ashling would react so that I could include her in the post.

The slight frame of Tarina, Lady of Darkhold met the large warrior Derik Ranloss at the bar in the Friendly Arm in the evening. They spoke to each other about mages and Amn for a moment and retreated to a booth.

The discussion in the booth was quiet and lasted for some time. No drinks or food was served so no wait staff came by to easedrop.

What the two talked about is mostly unknown other than clearly something regarding mages coming out of Amn. The two departed in opposite directions without altercation.

The dwarf, The skald, The legend

Gathering of wanderers, rangers and vagabonds around the fire by the Inn marks the return of one particularly rowdy dwarf, the self-proclaimed "best skald of the Sword Coast". Flutes are blown by a loyal sidekick, lutes are mercilessly played by fingers more used to gripping an axe, ballads of friendship, comradery and adventures once again fill the air leaving the accidental audience in awe and bewilderment. Curiously enough, the dwarf is never allowed to perform in the Inn itself after he once snuck at the scene and performed his ballads there. Back then, the distinguished dwarven skald was thrown to the pigs by the guards again. Little did they know that our renowned hero had long fixed his affections upon the fattest pig in the shed, now gently calling her Brunhild while the adventurous dwarf hugs her in his sleep.

From the accounts of eyewitnesses and stories circulating around the Inn, written down by a humble unnamed traveller.

Recently there was an off-putting incident at the friendly Inn Arms. No, I did not mean the Dwarf that persists in singing badly, songs learned who knows where. Nonetheless it is said the Dwarf skald and another masked individual were present when a number of travellers and traders had loaded goods nearby apparently awaiting a wagon or two. Now it transpires some Neer do wells of various sorts took advantage of the opportunity to make coin from the constant flow of adventurers laden down with confiscated loot from nearby forests and caves.

This included some scoundrels and thieves who made off with a share of the season's takings one way or another. Bentleys' guards were fully engaged chasing off would be troublemakers, and soon reinforced, led an expedition to quickly chase of the thieves driving them away from the inn for the time being.

The goods were moved on, guarded by extra guards, and the Arms returned to what passes for normal, Sadly the skald could still be heard.

For many moons now a common sight could be seen at the Friendly Arm Inn, a man known to some as a vile banite to others as a mad-mad praying to a false god, or perhaps simply a fancy fellow in red garb. Every day through rain or shine at the hour of high noon he would venture to the rooftop of the Inn and kneel before the high sun offering prayers... Prayers that have appear to have gone unanswered for quite some time.

However just after noon of the 3rd of Hammer 1359, a brilliant beam of intense sunlight illuminated the rooftop of the Friendly Arm. The light lasted for only moments but when it faded the same man could be seen departing the inn with the look of renewed purpose on his face...

That is... Until the guards of the Inn threw him out of their walls unceremoniously....

Headed out from the Friendly Arm Inn, an Elven Ranger went on patrol finding Gnoll's stalking the roads.
He disappeared into the depths of their den for many hours, and while none could say for certain what transpired within, he had certainly caused some sort of stir among the tribe of the children of Malar.

Later when he emerged he was battered and bloody, and looking not defeated but determined.
More strange than that though, upon his exit, all the patrolling gnoll would have been seen retreating into the depths of the cave system, and none would be seen again for at least a day and a night.

One wayward scout of the children of Malar would learn the hard way that whatever bargain was struck was to be honored. Right outside the gates of the Bladestone Foundation the Elf would be seen tracking said scout and felling it with several arrows, the guards would hear the elf muttering over the corpse. "Your were warned."

An act of vandalism on the walls surrounding the Friendly Arm Inn! This morning, someone treated the stone walls like a canvas and seems to have felt the artist in him, painting a huge rainbow, pink clouds and a bunch of pixies on it! Rageous!

A woman in a fox mask was seen building a campfire just outside the Friendly Arm Inn. With her tower shield and halberd drawn, she proceeded to dance around the fire in a sprightly fashion. Nobody could decipher the purpose of it, but a man in a pointed hat proceeded to join her in the strange act.

A Blonde woman named Katherine reported freshly to the Friendly Arm Inn about finding a pair of bodies right next to the place, close to the passage leading to the Cloakwoods. One was a man of tall, bulky stature, wearing armor, and another was a shaven-headed man in long robes. Both were found lying in puddles of their own blood with no visible assailant in sight.

As the eve fell over the bustling Inn, passersby would have likely noticed a pair sitting at the tables near the merchants. An armoured half orc and a moon elf sat quietly together, as they shared in a story, a fairytale. The night ended and a new dawn rose in the sky, with the moon elf leaving in a display of magical feystepping, leaving the usually stoic half orc in a bittersweet state of emotion as he bid his friend goodbye for a time, before making his slow journey back towards the city in the light of a new day.
