11/30/09

SERPENT HILLS (new area complex)
  • Creatures are mainly CR22-25
  • Can be reached via the troll hills North area, which can in turn be reached via the fields of the dead.
  • Area complex has 2 exteriors and 5 interiors.
  • One area is a crypt with undead which has completely different spawns than the other serpent hills area's. The crypt is CR20-22 and is very close to the area transition to the troll hills North Area. So if serpent hills is a bit to hard, you can try the crypt.
  • Two bosses are in the area. One in the crypt, and the other in the Naga caves.
  • In total there were 5 yaun-ti / naga types, 5 undead, 2 bosses, 1 red dragon, 1 snake, and 1 elemental used for spawns.
Two New Animal Companions
  • Arctic Wolf
  • Snow Leapord

Other
- Magic Fang and Greater Magic Fang now work on a hell hound animal companion.
- Fixed Worg Rider death. A goblin should now get up and fight when a worg rider goes down.
- Troll Ford Map Pin corrected. Will now correctly show North and South.
- Sign posted by the bulletin board in Baldurs Gate and outside the bridge into Baldurs Gate with the basic laws for Baldurs Gate.
- Gray Orc and sign put in Nexus for rules on being a gray orc on the surface.
- Added Updated farmlands area for Baldurs Gate. It has a new and improved bridge.

- Made adjustments to quite a few of the serpent hills spawns. A few hard spells were removed from the casters, and a few other minor changes were made.
- The xvart druid should no longer spam the same spell of any kind over and over again. I changed him from a spirit shaman to a druid.

- The server now has an auto-mated reset. If the server has been up for 19+ hours the server will reset itself.
- There is a NPC in the DM REWARD AREA1 that will allow DM's to shut off the reset in case a DM event is going on.
- Nashkel Mine Exterior - Some floating objects fixed.
- ChainMail of Speed no longer in the loot table as it gives perma-haste.
- Ghast in UD no longer has Disarm.
- Phaerlock Seeker and Drider with HIPS.. both no longer have HIPS. The AI HIPS abuse should stop now.
- The UD Area with the Troglodyte, the UD Goblin Area's, and the Mist Lake (another UD area) have had their spawn rate's adjusted.
- The 3 low level area's in the UD each have 1 new spawn.
- 10 Lower Level Surface Spawns were added in with existing spawns. The only one that is special is there will be bandits now in the Lions Way Area (outside Candlekeep) that should only spawn at night. All the other spawns can spawn anytime.

- Some changes to the appearance Changer if any of you use these weapons, and one cloak was added. Many of these weapons require SOZ to see the models.
  • 3 new light crossbows.
  • 3 new clubs
  • 2 new daggers
  • 2 new dwarven war axes
  • 1 new morningstar
  • 1 new halberd
  • 4 new handaxes
  • 3 new kama's
  • 2 new light hammers
  • 2 new mace's
  • 1 new warmace
  • 2 new shortbow's
  • 3 new sickles (and finally there is more than 1 sickle model in the game with SoZ)
  • 1 new spear
  • 1 new warhammer

- Added 2 Kukri's, 3 heavy shields, and 5 tower shield models to the Appearance changer. The shields are designs by Adzling.
- Changed the appearance changer so you cannot attempt to bring it up while polymorphed.
- The flaming fist have a quartermaster now on the first floor that has some basic supplies for sale.
- DM Spawns added.

- A new animal companion was added. This is mainly for UD players. It's a goblinoid companion set. One thing to note about this set is Magic Fang and Greater Magic Fang do not work on these guys. Flame weapon does work on them as they all carry regular weapons.

- Yyrkoons forge system was added. This is a system to allow low to mid level players to raise a bit of gold by finding creature drops and using them in the forge with a forge wand.

- Put in yyrkoons adjustments to the forge system. Forge components now stack, and a refined script was put in.
- Fixed the name of Gnoll 3. It is now gnoll.
- Moved the DM creatures, Alhoon, DaemonFey Skirmisher, and Daemon Fey Sorcerer to the correct DM folder.
- Put in Chaotics fix for Psionic Msss Concussion. Immunity to mind spells will no longer block it.
- Mass fowl should now just kill a player and not polymorpth them into a chicken. The spell was causing some players to break due to the polymorphing, so we had to remove it. It should still polymorph non player characters.

- Divine trap damage for mid-level chest reduced a bit.
- Greater Fire Elemental in Nashkel Mine has had his CR fixed. He will give xp now.
- Moved 2 chests in Durlags that cannot be accessed due to the walkmesh.
- Minor Adjustement to the winter wolfs. Their breat weapon was toned down a little bit.
- Change the phaerlock seekers a bit.
- Warpriests now have spot as a primary skill.

- The last NPC of the delivery quest Bellan in the helm and cloak has no conversation making the quest unfinishable. Conversation has been hooked up.

- Frost Breath, Orb of Force, Flaywind Burst, Sound Blast, Deadly Lahar have been added to Sorcerous Sundries and Sshamath. Deadly Lahar can only be bought once per server reset, it is not infinite.

- Some of the new spells added from Kaedrins now have scrolls that are in the chest loot.

- Added acid flasks, alchemists fire, tanglefoot bags, holy water, and chocking powder back into the loot tables.
- Added Mori Guild Hall
- Added Bregan Daerthe Guild Hall
- Fixed bug in placables.2da which resulted in about 300 SoZ placables being off by 1.
- Animal Companion: Worg changed from magical beat to beast s some of the druid animal companions spells will function properly on the worg.
- White Dragon in cloud peak mountains now tagged as a boss which should result in more xp and a bit of loot.
- Up the damage on giants that throw boulders just a bit, and up the reflex save for half damage vs. the boulder throw.
- Naga Holy Guardian - Removed implosion
- Naga Theurgest - Removed Bigby's clenched fis,Avasculate, & Distintegrate from the naga theurgest.
- Rage and Frenzy have been changed to instant.
- Arcane Trickster can be taken using the assassins sneak attack feats.
- Assassin and Blackguard now get proper PnP spells per level.
- Assassin spell improved invisibility is now 1 round/level, instead of 1 turn/level

Appearance Changer
- Now has support all material types. This fixes issue's like changing a silver weapon will result in you getting an iron weapon after you change the appearance. Now you will get a silver weapon.
- Some more items were added for: clothing, mithral half-plate, mithral full-plate, chainshirts, and leather.
- Fixed another bug with mithral full plate being changed into regular full plate.

Quest Changes
- Sam Fieldpost now requires you to have 5 hides. He also only takes 5 hides from the players stack.
- Fixed Ragefast's bluff option causing the quest to not reset.
- I thought there was one more, but it slips my mind at the moment.
- Revamped the troll quest, and added an extension for higher level players.

Nashkel
- Nashkel has gone through a few changes for DM plots.
- Currently hill giants do not spawn. We will change that within a week or so and have them spawn again.

VFX Changes - The following have had their VFX changed or adjusted
- Mirror image
- Pro tection from arrows
- Protection from alignment
- Protection from energy
- Most fire based spells like fireball or scorching ray.
- Ghostly visage
- Ethereal spells
- Premonition
- Ice storm
- Summon creature spell line

Crashing and Server Performance
- Updated a NWNX4 pluging which fixes a lot of player and dm client crashes. It also improves the server performance a bit.
- So far the feedback on this has been outstanding.

NEW AREA's
- Contain CR20-30 Creatures.
- Can be accessed by the Cloud Peaks.
- EXTERIORS: Cloud Peak Descent and Lake Weng Added
- INTERIORS: 7 Interiors that can be accessed from the Cloud Peak Descent and Lake Weng.

[MISC]
- Nashkel - Another change to reflect the city being built up.
- Updating of chest loot tables with new items. About 250-300 items added.
- Assassin/BlackGuard spell bonus fixed
- Change water elementals to 2 DR in South of Candlekeep Area (bg_elmwaterlarge1).
- Up re-spawn time in South of candlekeep area.
- Adjust frost giants in cloud peak.
- Deserks appearance changer items have been added.
- Some more server performance tweaks.. we'll see how they do.



Deity Spell Fizzle(Cleric, Favored Soul, Paladin)
  • If your alignment shifts to an unallowed alignment by your deity, they will no longer provide you with spell powers. (alignment shifts are only possible from DM intervention)
  • If you fail to meet the requirements for your deity (race/class/alignment), they will no longer provide you with spell powers.
  • Should you choose to correct your ways (DM-assisted align change back), you will regain your deity's spell powers.
  • Should you choose to change your deity to one that will accept you, then you will regain the ability to use spells.
Baldurs Gate East District Guard
  • The patroling guards will be paying closer attention to you now and will be enforcing the weapon laws within the city.
  • You will receive fair warning to remove your weapons before any action will be taken. They will give 30 seconds from the time of your warning for you to comply.
  • You will be afforded one warning per 8 hours, so if you've already been warned, you will be granted no quarter during the rest of that guard shift.
Raise Dead / Resurrection
  • Both of these should now be fixed and worked properly
Disarm & Improved Disarm
  • Both of these should now return the disarmed weapon to the original wielder's inventory.
Character Deleter
  • You will now find a working character deleter NPC in the nexus
Deity Changer
  • The new deity changer will give you complete descriptions of each of the deities available to your character and not show you any that you do not meet the requirements to follow
  • Note that the deities/domains lists are being worked on and when the updates are put in, the deity changer will automatically update with the new deity lists

A few minor changes. Should take affect when the server resets itself in about 2 hours.

- Fixed Displacer Beasts Displacing ability. It will now happen again naturally and not by spell.
- Fixed Goblin Warg Rider (again). When the Warg is killed the Goblin will get up and fight.
- Adjusted Drow and Mind Flayer in Durlags Tower. They have a concentration greater than 0 now so they can do some casting while getting hit.
- Fixed Arctic Bear CR, and removed Evasion from him.
- Adjusted Duergar Chief near cloud peak descrent. He was a bit difficult.
- Flaming Fist Guards should stop arresting flaming fist players if they have their weapons out (un-tested).
- A bow with unlimited arrows has been added to Beregost, Thunder Hammer, and to Central Sshamath.
- Languages have been touched up for Tieflings and Aasimar.
- Planar Binding has been added to high hedge since a player was asking for that scroll to be sold.

- Tanarukks can choose Orc Gods now at the Diety Changer (this was actually updated about a week ago).
- Greater Dispell Magic - Max Caster Level Check changed from 15 to 20.
- Dispell Magic - Max Caster Level Check changed from 10 to 15.
- Vampiric Feast - Changed to only do 25% damage to bosses.
- Keepers Guild Cloak added.

- Arctic Bear was toned down a bit.

- VAULT OF THE DEAD AREA's - Added a portal at the bottom so players can now jump back to the surface instead of fight their way out.
- VAULT OF THE DEAD AREA's - Various other changes and tweaks.

[AREA's]
- DM Maze Area Group Added (4 area's).
- GreyPeak Mountains Added (3 area's) for very high level characters. It can be reached via the Northern Troll Hills.
- A Tomb was added to fields of the dead for level range 13-15 or so.


[OTHER]
- Lots of DM NPC's added.
- The flaming fist jail should work for PC's arresting people again.
- Devour Magic changed to a max level DC of 20.
- Fixed timing problems which displayed how many hours the server has been up. It should be accurate now.
- Deleted a few NPC's here and there that walk around to help us handle the heavy server load of 60+ players right now.
- The Troll Quest should be fixed.
- The malcolm and matty (goblin cave) should work if you took the quest and couldn't find the key. Leaf made a script that checks when you enter the cave if you have the quest and will try to populate a key to find.
- Animal companion cool down changed to 2 minutes when you un-summon an animal compaion.

4/14/2010

- DMFI item renaming is enabled again for players.

- ASSASSIN now qualifies for Arcane Archer.

- Some new haks were added like acme helms, some cloaks (yes that the name of the hak), the trinity cloak, doppelgangers, mimics, gibberlings, we've updated our rws creatures to the latest, and KEMO Chairs.

- Added creatures for DM use (lions, dogs, gibberlings, hobgoblins, Poisondusk Lizardfol)

- Added new cloaks and helms to the appearance changer. Not all the ACME helms are in the appearance changer. Some of the models will be held back for shop and loot items.

- Added Flasmix' music to the flaming fist HQ.

- Fixed some weapon damage stacking problems in the loot and DM weapon hand outs.

- Turned down the chance of a frost giant mystic spawning in the cloud peaks descent.

- Mimics and Doppelgangers are still being worked in, so you will not see them in this update. Just the HAK was added for support.

EPIC Spells now break invis when cast (thanks for the fix Kaedrin).
- A few spell fixes from Kaedrin.
- Added Flasmix music (again). This is take 2.
- Deities: Added Bhaal and removed Cyric, kelemvor and Velsharoon.
- Clan Ironfaar added. Old Clan Ironfaar area removed.
- Pale Master: Level 10 will be granter immunity to critical hits on login. We'll see if this will work better than the token that granted the immunity.
- Knightmare's Items added to DM Loot in DM Reward Area 2.
- Chest Loot Table: Knightmare's items added. Light and Medium armor also updated in the loot table. About 250-300 items added.
- Gullykin Wizards Tower Added
- Friendly Arm Inn: 2nd Bhaal area added. No spawns in area as of right now.

- Friendly Arm Inn Area 2 has spawns, chests, and traps now.
- The Surface/UD Portal is disable at the moment. This change is not permanent.
- The server will no boot up with a password which will be disabled once the server loads to prevent rushing the server before it's fully loaded.
- A few misc fixes were done to Clan Ironfaar for Blank.
- Elf guild items added.
[EDIT]
- Loot drop chances for good loot increased as it was set way to low with the last adjustment. Will continue to monitor this and make adjustments.

- Assassins Poison spell changed to Kaedrins update from his 1.40 PRC. As an assassins level goes up, their poison from this spell will get stronger. A high INT will further increase it.
- Appearance Changer. Chain coif added for Atlas, and Mages Skull Cap for Knightmare.
- Dominated Creatures cannot be taken across maps (un-tested).
- New Load Screens Added.
- Storm Lord Spell Progression is now back to BG Rules which is half spell progression.
- Snow Leopard Animal Companion - Removed Monk class as it caused their creature claw to get removed by the AI which made weapon buffs useless. Added fast movement speed feat to snow leopards to replace monk class fast movement.
- Friendly Arm Inn Area Updated and Catapults Added for DM plot.
- Nashkel Mine Entrance has a few loot able items now.
- Nashkel Mine Area's. Many of the redundant doors removed.


SPELL RELATED
- Jagged Tooth should now work properly. Kaedrin fixed it.
- Tenser's Trans - You become an engine of destruction, gaining the following benefits: +4 Strength, +4 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, +4 Natural AC, +5 Fortitude saves, Proficiency with Simple and Martial Weapons, 100% spell failure, and an attack bonus equal your hit dice minus your current BAB. You do not Polymorph anymore.
- Conviction will no longer work if the target already has Greater Resistance or Superior Resistance.
- Greater Resistance now removes Conviction on the target.
- Superior Resistance now removes Conviction on the target.
- Battletide (spell version only) no longer applies a +2 AB bonus, +2 damage bonus, and +2 saves bonus. It now applies a +1 AB bonus, +1 Dodge AC bonus, and a +1 reflex save bonus instead. (NOTE: There was a mix up in what had to be changed with this spell, so it is not the final change)
- Weird will now work on those immune to death magic.
- Phantasmal Killer will now work on those immune to death magic.

Paladin:
Draconic Might - Is now 2 rounds/level instead of 1 round/level
Shield of Warding - Is now 2 min/level
Silverbeard - Is now 3 rounds/level instead of 2 rounds/level
