The old ship creaked and shifted under the pressure of the kraken wrapping it's long suckered tentacles around it's mass, squeezing and pulling it into the deep. Hastily a gem was places into a slot on the top of the chest emanating darkness and necromancy, as the floor around those gathered began to fill with water. With the chest neutralized, the large lid was opened revealing an ancient sword within, reflecting brilliantly the bit of light still found within the room. As a hand met the resting blade to lift it from it's prison, electricity erupted around it's length and an intense blue hue flooded their sight as the sword stirred to life once more.

To the depths we roamed,
With blades and spells neat,
Krich, Kai and Aelcar,
And a druid mystique.

What was planned to be,
A meeting in a good mood,
But fate is ever fickle,
For we faced a Queen and her naga brood.

Tense I was,
About venturing low,
But the druid cast his Art,
For movement and breathing below.

To the depths we plunged,
A rare sight to see,
Through ruins and sea animals,
And kelp to the knee.

We approached the naga guard,
Who towered over us all,
Spears and spells at the ready,
To give doom should we appall.

But Aelcar was elegant,
In his master of speech,
Soon we were walking through the home,
With numbers of naga within reach.

We were asked to soothe the Queen,
And keep her forces from land,
The Queen did agree,
If only we lend a hand.

She tested our skill,
With her denizens of the sea,
Kraken and naga and vermin,
But we stood strong and did not flee.

A truce was made,
Between the group,
Then the ship hit the floor,
And shook our troupe..

Betrayer! Spy! Liar!
The Queen accused us of,
We prepared for battle,
For a worthy cause.

If it would save Ulgoth,
Your peaeful village beset by strife,
I would willingly do that,
To save an Ulgoth’s life.

The boom echoed for miles,
Enhanced by the ocean sound,
It wasn’t until a few moments,
That the undead did abound.

Naga, and human and Elf,
We battled side by side,
To stave of this scourge,
That the ghost ship did provide.

Hundreds of ghouls and zombies,
Attacked the naga home,
We were tried and beat,
But let not slip a single moan.

For the trust had to be regained,
From the naga Queen,
When the dust finally settled,
The ocean floor once again looked pristine.

Somewhat satisfied,
With the nervous victory,
The Queen agreed to hold her forces,
And not make history.

As fast as our legs could move,
We made our way out,
To the land of sky and sunshine,
With nary a pout.

We returned to Ulgoth’s,
And met the crew who sank the ship,
But only to be met with more undead,
Who fell to the blade tip.

It was a sight for me,
Indeed it was my first,
The irony of it,
Was that I had thirst!

So rest easy this night children,
For this battle has been won,
But if you do not be good in your ways,
The Naga Queen will come!
-Penned and recited by the elf Kaienrai, that eve, to the children of Ulgoth’s Beard, around the campfire.
"Are you Thor? God of Hammers?"

Receiving a note requesting aid from Tourbillion, the Druid Umberlee in Ulgoth's Beard, stating that something is troubling the Umberlee priest Sealamin in Ulgoth's Beard (implying it is the Umberlee priests from Baldur's Gate that blame Sealamin for losing the sword that they seek called Sventar), Ivan and Wai Li go to Ulgoth's Beard to aid in the matter. Ivan and Wai Li invite Elaria to aid as well and Wai also invites Watchknight Drew Latonar.

When the three arrive in Ulgoth's Beard, Talisen, Cara Joriani, and Crow stumble upon the three speaking with Tourbillion and Sealamin near the docks of the town. The eight of them join together and have a prolonged verbal quarrel over what to do with the ancient Netheril sword, Sventar, which unknown to all except Ivan present is in Wai's current possession and not at the Temple of the Shield in the Gate as is popularly assumed, the sword that Sealamin and the Umberlee church intently seek after the item was found by Wai Li on the ghost vessel Foul Plunder weeks earlier. During this argument, the sword floated out of Wai's scabbard and glowing brightly spoke to Wai, pleading with her in a fearful tone that it did not want to be imprisoned again by the church of Umberlee. Wai then promptly sheathed the blade and the group's argument continued, soon entering into talk of Melanie, a local tavern worker and musician, who according to Sealamin and Tourbillion was being held hostage by Umberlee priests in a nearby sea cave that would drown Melanie as the high tide came in, unless Wai would give the priests the sword Sventar that they demanded as ransom for Tourbillion.

After much bickering about the right course of action with the sword, the group finally went to the cave and rescued Melanie, rendezvousing with Drew Latonar on the way, almost before it was too late to save her, and in the process Sealamin attacked the group as did the other Umberlee priests present holding Melanie. The group slew them and took Melanie to safety, but on the way out were attacked by what Tourbillion -- who aided the adventurers despite his god also being Umberlee -- termed servants of Talos or another one of the Fury gods. The group returned to Ulgoth's Beard and then went their separate ways, Wai with the sword in hand in the company of Ivan, Drew, and Elaria.

Tommy Bones, a bounty hunter from Gullykin came upon the scene of Talos's petitioners opening rifts and allowing epic storms to come through into the Prime Material Plane. Tommy was assisted by a dwarf named Rabe, a mysterious mage named Vorhee, and two others as they made their way to the Temple of Umberlee located in the Gate. After some investigation, the First-Mate of the temple advised the group that they should search the wreckage of the mysterious Ghost Ship where the blade was last thought to be. Tommy is now questioning others who were involved with the disappearance of the sword and aims to claim the blade and hand it off to the Temple of Umberlee for a large reward...or so he thinks. Tommy thinks to himself, "hm which would pay more, Talos or Umberlee?" The assassin rubs his gotee as he ponders this most important question.

Far up the Chionthar the body of a large sea snake could be seen near a shallow pass in the river. Exposed slashes and arrows litter the form as birds fight over the carcass. Quite an unusual sight for any who wander near it, to see such a beast that far up river, or in the area at all.

Rumors float around Baldur's Gate:

The docks of Baldur's Gate were busy today. An expected and anticipated visit from the twin high priestesses of Umberlee graced the docks, sailing in from Luskan. Though the priestesses didn't linger long in the docks, heading straight for the temple.

The self proclaimed Faerun renouned treasure hunter, Fluazifop Dippledopp, was also spotted in the docks today. Several adventurers were seen coming and going from his ship today. Could the gnome be preparing a crew for his next big treasure hunt?

Deacon followed a pair of rats as they scaled the ropes that connected the ship with the docks. Making it safely onboard, he went to see what all the fuss was about.

In recent days, some may notice that the inns in Nashkel have filled up more than usual. Perhaps a small crowd ventures into the Northern Amn city for some purpose. There have been more than the usual amount of folks walking in and out of the Temple of the Guardian
