Blinding Strike

Unread post by Theodore01 »

Currently - on activation - it breaks stealth and ends tracking mode.

Please, is it possible to remove that ?

And could we add an "Automatic Blinding Strike": Toggle automatic blinding strike with chat command: >blindingstrike on and >blindingstrike off

If you activate expose weakness while in stealth you'll break stealth as well.

I guess it could be a mode that applies once every 45s or something.

This ability is very powerful as it is. Does it really need EW treatment?

The ability itself wouldn't be changing at all, though, it'd just be easier for people to use without having to constantly reclick it. I don't seem the harm in it, but it probably is low on the Dev Team's list of priorities.

Try using vanilla expose weakness, then BG expose weakness.

I'd be against this. There are certain enemies where it is useless because they have blind fight, or hardly useful because of uber fort saves, and conversely high damage opponents who it neutralizes quite well.

I'd prefer to have some ability to pick and choose when I'm going to apply it, than to leave up to luck with auto reapply.

If you're in an area where you are fighting multiple types of opponents there is definitely harm in a change like this.

Maybe it can be implemented both ways, like manyshot.

One option is to turn it on/off per command line, the other is just click it on your hotbar. This works quite well for manyshot.

On the other hand, i guess i will get used to its current behavior.

^^^^^^^ ... this.

There is another very cool and effective way to use blinding strike, but it requires a little more hand-eye/keyboard-mouse co-ordination, and good timing. I'm not going to give it away, but if you play around with blinding strike in combat a little more, you'll probably figure out the best ways to use it to your characters advantage. With the right class selections, and know-how with the controls, you'll rapidly discover how strong this feat is.
There are no level 30's, only level 20's with benefits...
