Perma-death

Unread post by Administrator »

On BG:TSCC, permanent death is generally only at the consent of the character to which it is applied. However, there are two possible exceptions, which players should be aware of:

1) Infiltration. If a character infiltrates a guild or faction at the behest of a third party or interest and is caught with damning evidence, then the infiltrated faction may request perma-death for the exposed infiltrator. This is still only applied at the discretion of the DM team.

2) Three Strikes. If a character is captured and killed by certain NPCs, such as those attached to a political apparatus (city guards) or those associated with a guild or faction, a perma-death strike may be applied. This is always at the discretion of the DM team. Three strikes results in perma-death for the character. Some events may carry the risk of a perma-death strike for failure, though a DM will always notify players in advance if this is the case.

In instances where a character is perma-killed, a half-xp Retired Character Rebuild will usually be allowed.
