The Shrine of Mielikki

Unread post by GigLeCarp »

A necklace made of elf ears can be found hanging around the neck of the shrine of Mielikki. The words "Come find me" along with the initials J.E. are carved into the chest.

A man in a yellow cloak stops by the shrine on his way south along the Trade Way towards Beregost. Upon noticing the defilement of the shrine, the man immediately removes the necklace and drops to his knees in prayer. After several minutes, he rises to his feet and wipes a single tear from his cheek. He gently places the necklace in his pack, intent on seeing the item properly blessed and interred. Finally, he stands tall facing the statute, breathing steadily before speaking...

"This transgression will not go unpunished..."

He stalks off to the south towards the town of Beregost.

Thistle watched from the shadows and upon seeing the man with the necklace leave the shrine the hin stepped forward and removed the sacriligeous words carved into the chest. Smoothing and polishing it.

/// I don't even know if it is possible to carve something into that statue.

She would then search for tracks leading her on the path of finding this J.E. The ranger wouldn't rest till she would get a clue. Going as far south as Nashkel if needed and till the doors of the Gate, passing by the Friendly Arm Inn.

On the way she would send message by raven to the elves of Doron Amar and En Dharasha Everae.

And thanks to her loyal companion, the boar Black Bristles, she would leave a note in the grove of the Elder Circle.
