A dark cowled elf has inquired with Isabella in regards to the whereabouts of the Guide. After their brief conversation, he extracts himself to a quiet corner between the landscaped foliage and sits in reverie. A spell is spoken in the elvish language and that remains the last thing heard coming forth from the meditating elf.

There was a huge battle on the trail towards Candlekeep on Hammer 4, 1351 DR. Many responded to the call for assistance from the Avowed.

A group of diverse mages were seen traveling to and entering Candlekeep, some days ago. They entered the Keep's Inn, where they remained for many hours. They discussed the plans for construction and the founding of a magical academy on the Sword Coast, and what complications and hard work lie ahead. Once their discussion was concluded, the group made their way out of the Inn, separating from one-another and going about the rest of their day.

The lounge of the Candlekeep Inn bustled with activity yet again as a number of people took refuge from a heavy downpour of rain.
When a dark-haired gentleman arrived, a special bottle of wine was opened and served by a dark-garbed blonde.
Laughter and merriment was shared by many until the late hours of the eve.

Elyssa exchanged words with Isabella on what she had learned, after the Warden had her own to share in a seperate issue. The account of the spider being unfamiliar to her, they decided the details from Eldarians report would be best serving onto finding this particular incident in the library.

*Azreizhul can on occasion be seen going in and out of the keep, buying scrolls and tomes as befits his needs. Today, he leaves an envelope sealed in red wax in the small chest next to the librarian at the candlekeep interior entrance.*

My name is Azreizhul and I seek the purchasing of a number of spells which are not for sale by your librarian whom I've had the pleasure of meeting on numerous occasions and has thus far seen to my every need. I understand if you are busy and may not have much time but I would be willing to purchase these powerful spells by paying for the base cost while adding two-hundred gold times the circle level of the spell. I have written below a list of some of the spells I require. If you need to write to me, I have made accomodations to the friendly armed inn. I most certainly look forward to our mutually beneficial meeting together.

Those that take refuge within the Inn at Candlekeep might notice a blind Tiefling seeming to linger there. He often sits alone at the bar, nursing a drink, or sitting near the fireplace. At night, he would return to his room with a bottle in tow, or have one brought there by the staff.

The Crow has claimed another victim! Near the slope of Candlekeep's approach, upon the Lion's Way, it is said that a local huntsman fell victim to the infamous marksman. A solitary arrow, tipped with black feathers, was found protruding from the man's back. The trail of blood lead all the way back to the eastern Cloakwood, from where the man presumably crawled in his futile attempt to find aid.

After an investigation by Sir Aaron Lyonaler, Seeker Alexandra Keenan, Gate Warden Isabella Villame, and Gustov of Akadi, the deceased man was brought to the Temple of Oghma to receive last rites and interment until his family can be located and notified.

Amongst the letters in the regular mail run between Candlekeep and surrounding lands arriving by mounted courier is one rolled parchment stamped in blue wax, bearing the imprint of the eight-pointed Star of Mystra which itself is inset with the Espruar letters, A.A. It is addressed to Alexandra Keenan of the Seeker's Quarters.

The usual evening serenity of the peaceful library fortress was broken by the aftermath of a somber conversation between one of its Protectors, Elyssa Symbaern, and one of its Seekers, Alexandra Keenan. A high-pitched wail of despair soon emitted from the latter, and she crumpled, sobbing, into the arms of her friend.

A tall aurilite clergy-men would be seen entering the gates of Candle-Keep. He then walks up to the library where he then stops and engages in conversation with that of Isabella Villame. Their conversation seems to go on for some time as the man appeared to be taking notes in a small hand sized note book he uncovered from a hidden compartment of his cloak.

After some moments the man and Isabella both nod to each other before the man heads into the library.

He exits with a handful of scrolls and a few supplies such as quills and ink and two or more books to which he places in his back-sack before departing outside of the Keep and traveling south towards Beregost.

A brief and otherwise unassuming magical flash is all that signals the return of two friends to the Western Heartlands. They arrived at the campsite near the base of the approach to Candlekeep and then wearily made their way towards the fortress. Despite their fatigue, both seemed to be in good spirits.

A middle aged male with eyes the color of bronze stands outside of the Elfsong Tavern for a long while, staring at the billboard littered with notices. His gaze seems fixated to one in particular, bearing the seal and signature of the Guide of Candlekeep. After a period of contemplation, he pens a response of interest to the notice, ensuring he annotated that any message replies to him can be left with Priestess Neela of the Church of Mystra.
