Re: Church of Ilmater RP
Ameris spends much of his time absent the temple, out in the streets taking what healing he can to the injured, and the potentially diseased, citizens of the city. His focus is on the Docks district, due to how hard it was hit during the attack combined with the fact that the people there are poorer and less able to see to their own health.
He would offer words of comfort to those he treated, and those well enough would be encouraged to visit the temple itself. If he met lost children, he would seek to bring them back to the temple, if they were willing, and so hand them over to the dispossessed Sisters of Mercy's Orphanage. He'd explain to the children that it was best they were safe and fed, and if they were missing family members, those family members would know to find them in the temple. If children refused to come, he would ask to meet them the next day in the same place, so food could be brought to them.

*A fair amount of adult wounded and lost children or orphans are said to be temporarily brought to the Temple of Ilmater and areas surrounding it in recent days by concerned Baldurian adventurers. Those whose parents claim them return home shortly and those adults whom recover from wounds leave promptly as well, often with smiles on their faces despite the hardships due to the emphatic care and support received by kind adventurers. Still, some wounded adults and orphaned or otherwise unclaimed children remain.*

Mi-Le has been staying at the Temple of Ilmater for the last couple of days to help with the city's relief efforts. He helps with patients staying at the temple, and then leaves to wander the city and look for others who could use healing.

Re: Church of Ilmater RP
Ameris continues, when he is able, his rounds in the city treating any wounded and sick, and bringing anyone who is in great need, or a child without care, back to the Temple. His treatment of general patience in the temple of Ilmater continues as well. However, some of his time is dedicated towards organising care for the orphans being brought in, and he approaches the other clergy for quiet words.

Mi-Le looks for Brother Ameris. Upon running into him, he would ask, "Brother Ameris, do you know what resources are being used to rebuild the city? Is it primarily stone, or is wood being used as well? Or do you know who might know?"

Tarlu sat bolt upright on his pallet. "What? Who where? Who died?" He punctuate his question with a belch.
"You've been asleep for two days. Did you sleep at all last week?" She didn't look annoyed, for a change--then again, she hardly ever looked annoyed lately, just tired--tired like everyone else.
"I must have, or I'd have passed out."
"That's how you finally fell asleep this time. We had to drag you to your pallet."
"Damn! All right, then, back to laundry." He started to stand but got pushed back.
"Not this time, Tarlu. Things have settled down. Everyone is fed, our guests feel safe enough to help with the work, themselves. You get to go out for a while."
"But someone has to--"
"You get to go out, and if you don't, I'll report you."
Tarlu knew what that meant, it meant she would tell him, and then he wouldn't have a choice. He growled. "I'll go out, I'll see the town. Anyway, I hear there are some folks who can't make it to the temple for help, farmers who can't leave their steads."
She pinched her face like she so often did at him. "Fine, then! Go help people, but you're not allowed to do it in here for a while. And if you don't look happier and relaxed when you get back, we won't let you work until you do."

A notice is placed up in the Shrine of the Suffering, otherwise known as the Temple of Ilmater.
Merciful of the Coast
Light and life endured in the face of the Blight, and the city of Baldur's Gate lives on. Yet scars of war and suffering mar each district and the souls that dwell within.
Our war against Undeath is over; our war for Life begins.
The Adorned of Ilmater ask for charitable hearts to give generously to one of our causes:
The feeding, clothing, housing, teaching and eventual adoption of the city's orphans; many of whom are the sons and daughters of hero martyrs from the defence of the city.
Initial target: 300,000 pieces.
The restablishment of a soup kitchen in the docks, to act as a permanent base of outreach to the most poverty stricken in the city and help them recover from the effects of war and plague.
Initial target: 150,000 pieces.
The purchase of food to supplement the city's supplies during the difficult year ahead we face, while the city's farmlands recover.
Initial target: 300,000 pieces.
With these projects, and no doubt more to come, the Ilmatari endeavour to honour their lord's compassion and grace, for the good of the people of Baldur's Gate.
May they live long, and free of suffering.

A notice is placed up in the Shrine of the Suffering, otherwise known as the Temple of Ilmater.
The Blight's siege has reaved the lives of rich and poor, and now our war on suffering begins.
The Adorned of Ilmater have under their care well over two hundred orphans; the Order of the Radiant Heart meets its promise to protect them but is overstretched.
We need help from trusted protectors, to take their turn standing guard over the children. And more aid in providing teaching and care for our meek charges is welcome as well.
If you feel moved to defend and care for the weakest, speak with Brother Ameris Santraeger of Ilmater, Sister Reine of Ilmater, or any other members of the temple regarding aid. Alternatively talk to Mi-Le, Dorne of Nobanion, Sir Aaron Lyonaler or Steward Telia Santraeger at Pathfinders Hall.
Those who arrive with letters of reccomendation from the Temples of Helm, Torm, Tyr, Tempus, Gond, Mystra and Tymora in Baldur's Gate, the Song of Morning Temple in Beregost, and the House of the Guardian or Everwatch Knights in Nashkel will readily be accepted.
Others will be interviewed by the Adorned of Ilmater
Blessings of the Broken God
///Hi, if you are interested in partaking in this aspect of the orphan RP please PM the Temple of Ilmater group or find us IG.
If you cannot find us or want to have your character vouched for by one of the Temples, contact others as follows:
Helm in BG, and Nashkel: Everwatch Knights player group
Song of Morning: Church of Lathander player group
Mystra: Tsidkenu
Other temples: PC clergy
DM Arrakeen has kindly offered to help if anyone gets stuck finding a PC to vouch for them, but as a last resort.

A man who did not have any toes on either of his feet was helped into the Temple of Ilmater by a Flaming Fist solider for treatment and rehabilitation. The fellow remained in a pensive and depressed state of mind for much of the time, mourning over the loss of his fellow refugees in the recent bandit raid.

In the dead of night a young girl is found left outside the Temple of Ilmater, wrapped in blankets. She appears unharmed, but asleep. She is quickly taken inside and conveyed to a billet upstairs.
Ameris discusses the situation with the other priests.

Telia would arrive shortly after, apparently having been sent for. She would spend some time there.kleomenes wrote:In the dead of night a young girl is found left outside the Temple of Ilmater, wrapped in blankets. She appears unharmed, but asleep. It would be clear that no one would be allowed to visit the child and the people at the Temple would remain quite tight-lipped about it if asked.

Ameris is seen spending his nights at the Temple of Ilmater. He would be heading back to Pathfinders Hall for evening prayers with the children, but some time after they were asleep he would head to the temple, staying there until dawn for morning prayers and breafkast, before departing again for the temple. He would still try and make the afternoon group discussion with the children, but would seem a bit bleary eyed at first when he did so.
In the temple he is seen ascending to the upper rooms; oddly, whenever he is up there, Brother Khalso is downstairs. And when he is not in the temple, Brother Khalso is upstairs.
