Usually the summoned creature is still waiting there when you log back in, and not attached to your character anymore (no longer dominated...) this might also be what happens in this thread:

Making all summons dominated seems to be the cause of many issues I am seeing with their use.

This happened to me as well when I used Programmed Image with my Ranger. I logged back in hours later to find a copy of my character still in the spot I left her, only she was no longer "dominated" or in my party. .. odd.

*edit* I didn't try to examine her though so I don't know if it would have crashed or not. **

This was happening to me as well, three updates ago (it was reported then), but after the update before last (2 updates ago) it was fixed.

I have not tried it again since the latest update.

Was anything changed in between?

Is this a continuing problem?

Ne0mega, are you using normal client or client extension?

As I understand it this occurs when people using original client examine server custom summons.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for

And this was LuxA's finding after extensive testing due to another earlier report of this by another player.

I've personally summoned and examined every kind of creature for other QC testing and never crashed a single time. I run Client Extension on Win10 (Win8 compatibility mode).

Good report. Also, this post implies it was fixed last month. Closed.

Well it's not quite closed, Duster, because people will continue to crash if they examine a BGTSCC custom summon while being logged in to the server with the Vanilla Client.

We could use feedback from folks who still crash now as to whether they are running Client Extension or not.

I do not run the extension and do crash.

I posted elsewhere, but this only recently started happening again. It was happening, then wasnt and now is again.
